Picking up a Void Egg isn’t cheap. In order to nab one of these awesome items, you’ll need to earn a total of 3,200 Quicksilver. If you’re having trouble finding where to purchase the Void Egg, head to the vendor that’s next to the Nexus. He has it in stock and can sell 1,000 of them, but you’ll only need one. Unfortunately, the only way to get Quicksilver is by completing missions at the Nexus. And you’ll have to grind pretty hard to pick up enough Quicksilver for the Void Egg. The Nexus will offer one mission with Quicksilver once a day, and it ends up totaling about 250 Quicksilver earned on a normal day. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018) What’s better than a new Western from the Coen brothers? How about six? The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is a sextet of short films, all set in the Wild West. They follow different characters through wild plots that explore the themes of human depravity and cosmic justice (or injustice) that recur so often in the Coens’ works. The stories and protagonists vary wildly. The eponymous sequence follows Buster Scruggs (Tim Blake Nelson), a sharpshooting, guitar-slinging cowboy roaming the West and singing of his adventures. In another, a lonely prospector (Tom Waits) digs for his fortune. The stories in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs fall on the surreal end of the Coen spectrum — they’re somewhat comical, occasionally brutal folk tales that don’t always leave the viewer feeling they’ve learned a lesson. Sorry to Bother You (2018) The directorial debut of Boots Riley (perhaps better known as the frontman of the hip-hop band The Coup), Sorry to Bother You is a madcap satire of 21st-century capitalism, a film that tosses realism out the window within the first 10 minutes or so. The movie follows Cassius Green (Lakeith Stanfield), a sad-sack guy who, desperate for money, gets a job as a telemarketer at a grimy office (he lies about his previous work experience, which his interviewer considers a positive). Cassius struggles to make sales, so an older coworker (Danny Glover) gives him some advice, telling him to use a “white voice.” After using a white voice (David Cross), Cassius suddenly starts racking up sales and soon gets a promotion to the esteemed position of Power Caller. As he climbs the corporate ladder, however, Cassius risks losing his soul to the relentless machine of marketing. Sorry to Bother You makes use of some bonkers visuals to accompany its eccentric … [Read more...] about The 47 best movies on Hulu right now

D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die Right off the bat, know that this game isn’t technically finished yet. It was an episodic story that only got through its first season, but the story remains incomplete. If a cliffhanger ending to a mystery game will just drive you nuts, maybe pass on this one. If, on the other hand, you enjoy the absolute madness that is a Swery65 game like Deadly Premonition, then D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die is a wild ride from start to sudden finish. You play as David Young, a private investigator who has the ability to go back in time to using objects to solve crimes. His personal quest is to solve the murder of his wife with the only clue at his disposal being her last words, “Look for D.” The main reason most people overlooked this quirky gem was that it was initially marketed as a Kinect exclusive, but no longer requires that mostly abandoned peripheral. … [Read more...] about Best hidden gems on Xbox One
