It seems Quick Share is a relatively simple app, and options are mostly restricted to those with whom you share, with “Everyone” or “Contacts-only” being the two major settings. The latter allows you to only share with other Samsung Social users already in your contacts. Interestingly and uniquely, Quick Share also has access to cloud storage, and files can be temporarily stored in Samsung Cloud, streamed to Samsung SmartThings devices, or downloaded locally. There’s a file size limit of 1GB per file, and a daily limit of 2GB overall. … [Read more...] about Samsung is testing its own version of AirDrop for its smartphones
The entire process is controlled via Samsung’s SmartThings app, which alerts you when your clothes are ready, the company says. There’s nothing that says sophisticated, as one may expect from the brand. There’s no stylistic flourish that will make someone take a second glance. The durable rubber strap is very long and very grippy, and the keeper often caught my wrist hair when I struggled to move it down the strap, as it grips like an over-zealous limpet. I’d recommend choosing one of the metal or leather alternatives over this bothersome rubber strap. … [Read more...] about Emporio Armani Smartwatch 3 Review: Not the style icon it should be
The old cliché claims great writers “show, don’t tell.” The Witcher, as a franchise, toys with that rule’s limitations. Consider Vesemir. The Witcher 3 introduces him as a life-long friend, and he’s certainly likable. The game seems to set him up as the affable foil to grumpy, dead-pan Geralt. Not so. The game drops him for a long span of time after its introduction. Yennefer faces a similar fate. You strive to find her but after doing so have only a brief exchange before parting ways for a large chunk of the game. … [Read more...] about Backlog: The Witcher is a great show, but The Witcher 3 is still better
… the Fenix 5X Plus ships with a pulse oximetry sensor that will measure blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) levels. For most people, this sensor won’t provide any meaningful data, but alpinists who are climbing at high elevations can use this measurement to gauge their altitude acclimation. … The Pulse Ox sensor shows promise but it has one major flaw — you need to be still. Very still. So still that it is difficult to get a reliable reading, and we ended up never using the feature. … [Read more...] about What is a pulse oximeter and why should you care?
