Westworld Fans waited two years for the third season of this fabulous sci-fi Western and dystopian series that portrays a futuristic Wild West-themed amusement park called Westworld. Despite looking and acting convincingly human, the people who work there are actually hosts programmed to have specific personalities and skills, and cater to every visitors’ desires, whether that’s to meet and bed a beautiful woman or get caught up in a gunfight. The first season and overall story are inspired by the 1973 Michael Crichton film of the same name. The second, and especially the third, seasons, however, are very different from the first. Movies that are begging to presented in 4K HDR and are available as such on 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray, like Aquaman, Wonder Woman, or even Moulin Rouge, are only being delivered in standard HD with HBO Max. This is of course disappointing, and we can speculate about why they might not have decided to offer higher resolution with their launch. Offering 4K does take a lot more bandwidth, and I’m sure there was a concern that it could choke up the pipes and degrade the user experience. A valid concern of course, but something that you test for prior to launch. It is the job of the content provider to work with streaming partners to assure that the content delivery networks are in line and ready to handle the load so that 4K is not a problem. The Dr. Disrespect character strives to parody toxic gamers by holding up a figurative mirror. Doc is, in many ways, a collection of stereotypes all encapsulated into a tall guy in a bad wig. He has trash-talked other streamers (including Ninja, whose endorsement deals include Red Bull, Adidas, and an exclusive contract with Microsoft’s Mixer streaming service). He has made numerous racially insensitive jokes to non-English speaking groups.
