One company that’s been getting a ton of exposure lately is DJI. Just last month, the company announced its most ambitious drone to date, the DJI FPV drone , which finally brought the company into the world of first-preson view (FPV) drones . Now, it looks like there’s still more gas in the tank because we’re getting yet another brand-new drone ! Following in similar footsteps to Apple, the DJI Air 2S is a refresh of the company’s Mavic Air 2 drone from less than a year ago. Boasting the same compact and foldable design from before, the Air 2S is most notable for the 20-megapixel, 1-inch sensor it’s boasting — a substantial size upgrade over the ½-inch sensor used by the Mavic Air 2. With a larger sensor, you can expect better results, especially in lowlight situations, because it’s able to absorb more light. It also features 5.4K video recording at up to 30 frames per second (fps), which complements its usual 4K capture at 60 fps. For content creators, this opens up more … [Read more...] about DJI Air 2S enters pro territory with its one-inch camera sensor and 5.4K video

DJI Air 2S Review: Superb results without the work
DJI Air 2S Score Details DT Editors' Choice “When quality and performance are priority, you won't find anything better than the DJI Air 2S.” Captures sharp images Strong details from its 5.4K video Pro level clips with Mastershots Fun and safe to fly Camera can sometimes hunt for focus MSRP $999.00 One leisurely activity that kept me sane during the lockdown last year was flying the DJI Mavic Air 2 . It had everything you’d want in a drone, whether you were a first-time flyer or a seasoned pilot. Now, though, it looks like DJI is taking a page out of Apple’s playbook by releasing an upgraded version of its drone a year after its release. I had very few qualms about the Mavic Air 2 when I tested it out last year, it was just about perfect in every way . Enter the DJI Air 2S, a slightly beefed-up version that’s most notable for the upgraded camera sensor it’s packing along for the ride, which clearly puts it very close to … [Read more...] about DJI Air 2S Review: Superb results without the work
ZTE’s new Axon 30 Ultra takes normal, wide, and zoom photos all at the same time
ZTE has launched the Axon 30 Ultra 5G smartphone, which it indicates removes any indecision out of which camera to use when taking a photo, as it has a “take photos first and zoom later” feature. The company says the phone will take full-focus long, medium, and close-up photos with one tap of the shutter button, unlike most other smartphone cameras which require you to take each photo separately. The advantage, presumably, is in editing. You can zoom in and out of the photo to find exactly the right look for you, without sacrificing quality. It’s a little bit like Portrait modes where you can alter the focal point after you’ve taken the shot. It’ll be interesting to see how the software performs, and whether the feature is useful or not. The Axon 30 Ultra does this with three 64-megapixel main cameras and an 8MP telephoto camera. We know the main 64MP camera is a Sony IMX686 sensor with optical image stabilization and an f/1.6 aperture, but we don’t know the sensor used for the … [Read more...] about ZTE’s new Axon 30 Ultra takes normal, wide, and zoom photos all at the same time
The OnePlus 9 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro are strikingly similar, but in a good way
The OnePlus 9 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro are, on the surface, very different phones, but if you’ve got $1,000 to spend you could buy either one. Which one you choose will likely come down to which operating system you prefer, Android or iOS, but when you use them together for an extended period of time, some previously unseen similarities start to emerge that make the choice a little more difficult. I’ve used the iPhone 12 Pro since it launched, and the OnePlus 9 Pro for about four weeks total now. What has struck me most throughout the time with the OnePlus 9 Pro is how closely it resembles the iPhone in the way it performs and operates. Not in an eye-rolling, blatant facsimile way, but in a less obvious way. OnePlus has taken aboard many of the core reasons the iPhone is so popular and incorporated them into its best Android phone yet. The build Design is subjective, so we won’t go too deeply into that. What about how the two phones compare in build quality, comfort, and … [Read more...] about The OnePlus 9 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro are strikingly similar, but in a good way
