Officially, the Galaxy S10 doesn't exist, and we're just speculating on the name of Samsung's next flagship Galaxy phone. Unlike the upcoming foldable phone that it flashed on stage in November, Samsung hasn't acknowledged the Galaxy S10 on its roadmap. But after nine years of Galaxy S phones fueling Samsung's rise to the top, the Korean tech giant would be crazy to stop before its 10th anniversary Galaxy S. More rumors and hints converge each day, including some fresh details of the Snapdragon 855 chip that will likely power the Galaxy S10 and other flagship Galaxy phones this year -- perhaps the Note 10 and foldable phone, too. Slow phone sales are troublesome enough, but increased pressure from China's Huawei, which ousted Apple to take the No. 2 slot, should cause alarm within Samsung's ranks. Although Huawei phones are no longer sold in the US amid the government's security concerns, the … [Read more...] about Galaxy S10 specs, price and release date rumors: Ultrasonic fingerprint reader and Infinity-O screen?

Speaking in his native Mandarin, OnePlus' co-founder and CEO Pete Lau exudes a reserved persona, despite being only weeks away from unveiling the OnePlus 6T phone. Compared to the company's other co-founder, Carl Pei, Lau carries himself more formally. Though the two look unassuming in their own ways, Pei is often seen wearing cotton tees and clapping back on Twitter about free phone handouts and false product rumors. Meanwhile Lau, who is 14 years Pei's senior, mostly tweets about OnePlus industry news. It's this calm demeanor that betrays his nervousness inside -- something you wouldn't notice until Lau explicitly mentioned it when asked about the launch. Now playing: Watch this: OnePlus 6T teams up with T-Mobile 2:32 "My feelings are, to best summarize, complex," said Lau through an interpreter. "It's a mix of both excitement and anxiety." Update, Aug. 24: The Galaxy Note 9 is now officially on sale. You can buy it at Samsung's website, and local carrier stores and retailers.I picked up the Galaxy Note 9, popped out the S Pen stylus and started to write on the black screen in tart lemon-colored digital ink. It hit me: This phone is more fun to use than your phone. When I'm using the Note 9, I feel more inspired to write, draw, take precise screenshots using the tool, snap selfies with the S Pen's remote shutter, and playfully annotate photos to send to friends. But the Note 9 is no mere toy. It's also powerful as hell, with a 6.4-inch screen, 4,000-mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and either 128GB or a whopping 512GB (!!!) of onboard storage, plus a microSD card if you want more, more, more. Yet the fizzing question at the center of it all, the one that's pounding away at your grey matter, is this: Are the power and fun of Samsung's new Galaxy Note 9 worth $1,000 of your hard-earned cash?
