Here are the best months to buy just about anything on sale

With the start of the new year, serious shoppers know they’ve got 12 more months of the best seasonal deals.

There are the obvious sales dates that should be hard-coded into everyone’s calendar app: after-Christmas sales including gift wrap and decorations, the discounts on Halloween candy and costumes beginning Nov. 1 and Black Friday, with its traditional large markdowns on electronics, especially TVs.

In July, Amazon’s Prime Day offers online deals on a huge number of products, including its Kindle and Fire electronics brands.

In February, mattresses are the focus, with a tradition of discounts around Presidents’ Day. The month also offers discounts on chocolate after Valentine’s Day.

The folks at TopCashback.com have compiled a complete list with the best months to catch sales that aren’t always advertised. Cruises, Apple products and even movie tickets all have a sales season.
