PSA: The PS4 Pro Limited Edition is currently unavailable
Retailers such as those mentioned underneath have are all showing that the PS4 Pro Limited Edition is currently unavailable.
Amazon’s store page has been removed, Smyth’s page is offline and Game is no longer showing available stock of the console.
As seen previously with items like Nintendo’s NES Classic Mini, the first stock allocation sells out quickly, but we may see retailers make more units available in the coming weeks.
We’re awaiting for an official announcement from Sony about the consoles being sold out – until then, it’s worth looking through retailers for more units.
PS4 Pro Limited Edtion – Pre-Orders open
Sony has opened the pre-orders for the PS4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition console.
As promised before, Sony will open pre-orders for the fancy new console in the UK and across Europe today and will have the console open pre-order from retailers including Amazon.co.uk,Game.co.uk,smythstoys.com,ShopTo.net andVery.co.uk.
The console will launch on August 24th and will be priced at £449.99.
The PlayStation 4 shows no sign of slowing its momentum and domination of the console market.
This week, to celebrate a massive 500,000,000 (that’s 500 million!) units sold, Sony announced a special edition PS4 Pro will be on sale worldwide.
This limited edition console variant is limited to 50k units worldwide, and comes in an amazing blue and bronze colour scheme with a translucent finish.
It will be available from August 24 in Europe for €499.
The 2TB PS4 Pro has a unique copper plate with the limited edition number etched on – just to give it a bit more impact.
This bundle also includes a matching Dualshock 4 with copper PS4 symbol and a PS Camera, too.
You can see the special edition unboxed and explained in detail in the video below.
Sony urges you to check your local retailer for availability – you will likely be able to pick one up at GAME in the UK, or maybe Amazon, too.
“Today, I’m thrilled to reveal that Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially sold more than 525.3 Million PlayStation systems worldwide! With 500 Million PlayStation systems sold, that means countless adventures into the unknown, courageous stands against evil, and life-long memories of playing with family and friends,” notes Eric Lempel, Senior Vice President at PlayStation Worldwide Marketing.
“Thank you to all our fans for your passionate support over the past 24 years, which made all of this possible.
