Young Rocky Hill Actors Cast in “A Christmas Carol” at Hartford Stage

November 3, 2016 by patch.com

HARTFORD, CT — A pair of young actors from Rocky Hill are among the area children cast in Hartford Stage’s 19th production of “A Christmas Carol – A Ghost Story of Christmas.”

“A Christmas Carol” will run November 25 through December 30.

Charlize Calcagno, 6, from Canton, and Hunter Cruz, 7, from West Hartford, will handle the pivotal role of Tiny Tim in alternating performances.

Over the past 18 years, Connecticut families have been thrilled by Dickens’ supernatural tale of redemption, which introduced the exclamation “Bah! Humbug!” and popularized the perennial greeting “Merry Christmas.”

Bill Raymond will return for his 17th and final season as Ebenezer Scrooge for all public performances except for the 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. shows on Monday, December 26.

Adapted and originally directed by Michael Wilson, “A Christmas Carol” will be helmed this year by Hartford Stage Artistic Associate Rachel Alderman.

United Technologies serves as the Exclusive Presenting Sponsor for “A Christmas Carol.”
